New Art Prints by Ise Ananphada and Nikita Kaun – On Sale Info

After an amazing 2016, Thai illustrator Ise Ananphada is planning on taking things to the next level in 2017.  We at FAMP Art are massive fans of her original artwork and are honored to release one of her most simple, yet visually striking illustrations to kick off the new year.

The piece is titled Desire and it’s a beautifully haunting image that manages to catch your gaze and NEVER lets it go. Desire is one of a handful of personal projects that Ise has published over the years and we couldn’t be more excited to bring a very limited release to you.

Additionally, last year, we teamed up with Arcadium Gallery to showcase the work of Nikita Kaun.  We each had a selection of old and new art from the talented Russian artist with one of those newly released pieces being Young and Tragic.  Some of the posters from that sold out run were held back for us and now we’re releasing it alongside Ise’s prints.

Both prints will go on sale Tuesday, January 17th at 12pm EST via the FAMP Art website (www.FAMPArt.com).

Originals and Art Prints by Nikita Kaun – On Sale Info (and bonus $10 off!)

Last year, we had the opportunity to work with Nikita Kaun for our first ever gallery show, The Labours of Hercules.  His print entry was one of the favorites of the show and, since then, the Russian-born artist has been turning heads with striking movie posters and compelling original works that have made their way around the world, culminating in a great mini-showcase at Arcadium gallery.

Unbeknownst to most, Nikita has had a few more pieces up his sleeve as well as some archival prints he wanted to pull out for the sale a striking new piece called Trypophobia III.  He was commissioned by the band BRUNT to create this artwork, which we absolutely loved, and now that the artwork has been revealed to the public, we can finally make the print available to you.
In addition to the screen print, we have three originals available from Nikita along with two copies of a Russian gig poster from 2013 and a beautiful lithograph from 2014.

As a bonus, for those that pick up one of these pieces, we will be offering $10 off Nikita’s ‘Full of Fire’ print (below) from The Labours of Hercules art show.  It’s good for one use at checkout with coupon code NikitaBonus!  The offer will be valid from September 1st to September 9th.

The Labours of Hercules – Gallery of Every Piece in the Show

The Labours of Hercules – Gallery of Every Piece in the Show

Over the past two weeks, artists and various art websites have revealed details about all the pieces in our first gallery show, The Labours of Hercules.  If you’ve been following us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, you’ve probably seen us posting all of these images as well as close-up shots of the printed art.

In case you haven’t had a chance to see all the art in one place, below you’ll find a beautiful gallery containing all the art for the show, including the artist’s name, the edition size of the print and the actual print size for each piece.  Some pieces, like the Glyn Smyth one, look a little different in person or, like Lucas Ruggieri’s, may have an original, which is why we’ll be posting nice shots of the printed pieces on the blog as well as detail shots so you can see just how great the art is on paper.

Enjoy.

FAMP Art Presents: The Labours of Hercules – Full Line-up and Show Details Announced

Labours of Hercules show card 2

13 Artists. 12 Labours. 1 Hercules.

On December 12, 2015, FAMP Art will be hosting its debut art show titled The Labours of Hercules. This show marks our first foray into the gallery space and we are looking to make a splash in a legendary way.

Mythology is one of the most fascinating aspects of ancient Greek culture and the Heroic age, specifically, is responsible for the stories about some of the most well-known figures in history, in particular, Heracles, or, more popularly known by his Roman name, Hercules.

With a desire to curate a unique show that would allow for fun artistic freedom and a break from the standard pop-culture art show, we decided to continue our mythological streak, which started with DZO’s ‘Dragon’ release, and focus on the stories that made Hercules such a legend. 12 artists were selected and assigned one of Hercules’ labours that they could interpret in their own way. They could focus on the labour itself, the interaction between Hercules and the labour, or focus on the aftermath. A 13th artist was then selected to illustrate a piece focusing on the man himself, Hercules. The show will include a variety of screen printed pieces, a few giclee prints and couple of originals from artists all around the world.

The event will take place on Dec 12th at Bottleneck Gallery, located at 60 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249, with doors opening at 7pm and at 9:00. The gallery is located in Williamsburg and is accessible by car, bus and subway.

The show is free to attend so be sure to bring some friends There will be free beer, wine and other beverages for those in attendance. As a bonus, we will also be giving out a free print out by artist Glyn Smyth to the first 20 people in line. You can join the Facebook event page here to stay up to date on what will be released at the show.  Pieces will start being unveiled the week of November 30th.

All art that isn’t sold at the gallery will be put online Monday, December 14th and will go on sale at 12pm Est. Prints will ship worldwide.

Below is the full line-up of artists who have graciously contributed to the show along with the respective labours they were assigned.  Click their names to check out more of their amazing work.
